Browns: Brandon Weeden or Colt McCoy

Cleveland Browns fans obviously know that unless something unexpected happens here soon, there is going to be a QB competition in Berea this year. Something I believe Browns fans are quite tired of. You have the new and not so young 22nd overall pick in Brandon Weeden (BW3) and you have last years starter in Colt McCoy.

A lot of rumors hovered around Cleveland fans after the selection of Brandon Weeden about whether or not the Browns were going to trade Colt McCoy. As of right now its not looking that way, Holmgren said that the team has 4 QB's at the time and that there going to compete in training camp. And head coach Pat Shurmur said that both BW3 and Colt will get reps in training camp. I know sounds disgusting right?

Colt threw 14 TD's and 11 INT's last year and gave the Browns a 4-12 record. Being that we had a banged up offensive line, the most drops in the NFL, and virtually no running game, leads for a decent case McCoy didnt get a fair shot. Can we as fans honestly set back and say Holmgren doesn't know what hes doing? Your talking about one of the top QB gurus in the nation. If he see's something in Brandon Weeden then so be it. He is the boss and he knows what he's doing. But that being said we still have every right to be upset if this whole Brandon Weeden project fails.

But until it does, lets just set back and see what happens. I highly doubt the Browns drafted a 28 year old in the first round to sit him for a year, so expect BW3 to start on September 9th. But I bet if he doesn't succeed soon and often, the "put in Colt" chants will start all over Browns stadium.

We as fans want to win and we want to win now. If you cant do it at what some people say is the most important position in all of sports,  especially in Cleveland, "NEXT!".
